So, yeah, what do you think about the new website?
I’m down with it. I owe my old friend Grant Gannon for designing it.
With the new website comes a new way for me to keep in touch with you about upcoming events for “Champions for Change.” In the past, I’ve tweeted and Facebooked about them and hoped you took notice. I’ll keep doing that, sure, but this will be a new way to keep up with events as we move through what will hopefully be a busy fall and winter.
The next few days are busy, starting with an event Sunday here in the Memphis area. Here’s a list of what all is on my schedule as of now, with a reminder that I’ve got a few more I’m working on.
Sunday, Oct. 28 – Meet the Author series, Collierville Burch Library, 2-3 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 2 – Tupelo Kiwanis Club, noon
Friday, Nov. 2 – Reed’s Gum Tree Bookstore, Tupelo, 3:30-5 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 3 – Merison’s, Paris, Tenn., 4-5:30 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 10 – Memphis Maroon Club MSU-LSU watch party, time and place TBD
Monday, Dec. 10 – Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum event featuring a discussion with former MSU players Bailey Howell, Doug Hutton and Larry Lee, 5 p.m.
Some of these are set up for speaking and a Q&A time. At others, I’ll just have a table where you can come by and say hello. At all of these, you’ll be able to buy as many copies of “Champions for Change” as you’d like – remember, Christmas is coming – and I’ll personalize and sign them all.
Is there anywhere you’d like for me to be? A civic club, or just a specific corner of the area where you think there might be interest? I can try to work it out. I would love to, in fact. Drop me an email here and we’ll talk.
